Fresh off of an impressive showing at CES and its first ever Golden Globe win, Netflix has announced that its original series Lilyhammer will be coming back for a third season. The show debuted in February 2012 as Netflix’s first original series, and has since been followed up by other shows including House of Cards and Orange is the New Black. “Lilyhammer is the type of global show that Netflix members around the world have discovered and love and season three will see that world expand even more,” says Netflix CCO Ted Sarandos. The second season of the Norway-set crime drama debuted last month, while season three is expected to be released later in 2014, fleshing out a year of Netflix content that includes a new season of House of Cards in February.
